Health
| Health services are
provided by the Mt. Lebanon School District. This year, Mrs. Deanna Hess
will be at St. Bernard School
one day a week. A
fully equipped health suite is located in our building. In addition to
routine first aid, the school nurse dispenses medications, does vision
screening, scoliosis screening, height and weight screening, hearing tests
and health-related presentations. She supplies any needed information and
guidance to the faculty. All medical records are handled and updated by the
nurse. As a result, an annual confidential list of specific health care
needs among the students is prepared and distributed to the faculty. When necessary, external health care authorities come into the school to educate our students on various topics such as drug awareness, dental health and nutrition. A doctor is available for medical examinations and comprehensive appraisals upon the students’ entry into school and into the Junior High level. All individual classrooms are supplied with a first aid kit. Please refer to our policies in the St. Bernard School Handbook (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader)
